Irvine-based Jackson Demo recently expedited a project at a private school in Torrance in order to finish up before graduation day. “We pulled in extra crew members to make sure the job was done quickly and safely for students to return back to school for the end of year celebration,” said Chris Jackson, a supervisor at Jackson Demo.
The crew removed hazardous materials, including asbestos-containing floor tiles, linoleum, acoustic ceilings and window putty. Asbestos is a highly regulated material known to cause respiratory diseases and cancer.
Only specially licensed contractors are permitted to remove these materials because of strict regulations put out by the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Jackson Demo has been the go-to contractor for many private and public school sites in Southern California. The company recently wrapped up phase one of an intricate water line project at Cypress College. They have also completed jobs for school districts in Roland Heights, Saddle Back, Santa Ana and La Palma.
In addition to other projects, like a former Toyota Dealership in Los Angeles, the company also serves residential clients who are remodeling or tearing down structures. “Our biggest priority is safety. But we are also known for our quick turnaround time,” Jackson said.
Jackson Demo is a full service demolition and abatement company that has been handling hazardous materials for more than 30 years. They serve the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Bernardino. In addition to hazardous waste removal, they offer hard, soft, interior and exterior demolition.Check out their latest projects and get a free quote at jacksondemo.com.
